REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
It is the doctors’ policy to charge $10 for repeat prescriptions provided without a consultation. Please make payment when collecting the prescription. In most instances a repeat prescription will not be given unless you have visited the practice in the last few months. New prescriptions are a legal document and as such will only be provided at a proper consultation with your doctor. This helps maintain a high standard of appropriate health care. Patients requiring Authority Scripts must organise an appointment.

REFERRALS TO SPECIALISTS
To ensure the best management of your care, it is standard best practice for the doctors to discuss your condition before referring you to a specialist.  You may request a particular specialist of your choice. Please note that your doctor is not permitted by law to back-date specialist referrals, so please ensure that you have a current referral before you see the specialist. The charge for duplicate referrals is $10.

MEDICAL CERTIFICATES
Medical certificates are legal documents. They are available only if you present for consultation with one of the independent doctors. They cannot issue Certificates without you actually seeing them and they are not permitted to issue Certificates retrospectively.

TEST RESULTS
Some test results may be given over the phone by the practice nurse (not the doctor) Monday to Friday from 12.30 to 1.30. Test results are an important part of your medical care and may need medical explanation. To avoid any misunderstanding and to allow for discussion of abnormal results, please make an appointment to see your doctor if the doctor or nurse asks you to.  Test results will only be given to the patient and not to other family members.

PRIVACY POLICY
Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised doctors or nurses. The privacy policy document can be viewed and downloaded in “documents” tab of this site.

REMINDER SYSTEM
The doctors are committed to preventative care. Your doctor will seek your permission to be included in each doctor’s reminder system. They may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care.

COMPLAINTS AND SUGGESTIONS

If you have a problem, please let the practice manager Dr. Stuart Rome know or feel free to talk to your doctor. You may prefer to write to the manager or use the suggestion box in the waiting room. All concerns, suggestions and complaints will be taken seriously.
